Refund Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to paid (Pro edition) purchases of Quillseek made through our checkout provider, Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record for the transaction.

The free edition costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund for it. It stays fully usable for as long as you want, with the feature limits described on the download page.

2. How to request a refund

• Email dochub365@hotmail.com with the email address used for the purchase (or attach your Paddle receipt), or
• Reply to your Paddle order confirmation email, or request the refund directly through your Paddle customer portal.

Tell us briefly what didn't work for you — this helps us improve, but it is not a condition for the refund. Refund requests are handled by Paddle as the seller of record; once approved, Paddle returns the funds via the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take 5–10 business days for the money to appear back on your statement.

3. Conditions

• Time window: within 30 calendar days of the original purchase.
• No questions asked: you do not need to prove a defect or a specific reason.
• Abuse: we may decline refund requests that are clearly abusive — for example, repeated purchase-and-refund cycles of the same product by the same person. This clause exists to protect honest customers, not to make refunds difficult.

4. What happens to your license after a refund

After a refund is issued, the Pro license key is considered void and must stop being used. The application keeps working with the free edition's feature set; documents you have already indexed remain on your computer, and no data is deleted or altered by the refund process.

5. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence, including statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights for distance purchases. Where those rights are stronger than this policy, they prevail.
